Click on it and watch a video of him playing a whole kit.
HalloweenI dressed Crash up as a San Diego Padres baseball player and took him to the Trick or Treat event at MPC. We had fun showing him off to Louie's coworkers and collecting candy in Crash's name.
First Prenatal Visit in
Idaho
This
afternoon Louie and I will go to my first prenatal exam here in Idaho
at The Baby Place.
I'm excited to meet with the midwives there (and find out
just how much weight I've gained this month).
Webpage Started
I
finally started a
webpage for my baby! It's still needs a lot of work so be
patient with it.
The Pregnancy
I had a wonderful pregnancy with Crash. We found out I was pregnant whild Louie and I were visiting my family in Idaho. After suprising my family with the good news we called up Louie's parents and I asked them if I could start calling them Grandma and Grandpa. They were ecstatic, as you might imagine, and said they would love to start going by Nana and Tata.
1st Trimester: I was blissfully spared any morning sickness, however I was EXHAUSTED! Naps became the highlight of my day. One hour at lunch on the couch at work and two to three hours directly after work. Louie and I enjoyed these days of dreaming whether we were having a boy or a girl.
2nd Trimester: We went on a cruise to the Caribbean! I wore a sarong and a teeny halter-top on the beach for Charlotte and Richard's wedding. I felt so pregnant, but looking back I was hardly showing at all (that didn't last). By the time we moved to Idaho I was very round and unmistakably pregnant (I loved it).
3rd Trimester: My feet were so swollen it was like walking on water... I got huge! Crash was growing so nicely, but insisted on sitting in a breech position. I tried laying inverted, pressing cold peas against his head, and even sweet-talking to get him to turn himself. In the end he was stubborn (like his parents) and stuck with his cannonball position.
Birth: What a WONDERFUL and BEAUTIFUL event! We went into The Baby Place around 4 in the morning and Crash was born just before one in the afternoon. Louie was the most amazing coach and I love him a thousand times more than ever. He was with me through nearly every contraction with words of encouragement and hands of steel for counterpressure. I had about 10-12 hours of active labor and 30 min of pushing. Crash entered this world butt first in the presence of 4 marvelous midwives, Grandma and Grandpa Weikel, Nana and Tata Ruiz, and Louie. It was truly an extraordinary experience.
